Since Mitch was planning a redesign, but not able to do one, I will make a couple of updates to the site. The next update to Galaxy GUI, codenamed "Neski" will feature:
- a refreshed/updated look - faster loading times - customization tutorials section - Completely new forum categories, forum names and content in those forums - Increase ease of site navigation - Simpler look to site, less bulk - Moderator and Admin application forms will be put up, we will be looking for new dedicated staff members
I will let you know when the expected date of completion is sometime in the next few days.
*Disclaimer: All site updates will be made live, Galaxy GUI will not be responsible for sudden site changes, loss of posts, forum permission privileges or any other disruptions during the update process

Looking forward to the updates, I think a simpler look to the site is needed, it's a bit messy atm.

i dunno if they are all like that.. but i was just in the releases forum and i noticed it was upside down

@chekkz, you mean the releases forum huh? Well, the subforums are always on top, so the announcements ended up on the bottom

I like the look of the new buttons Still need a last post button (the one next to last poster's name for threads) I like the new icons showing if a thread has a new post or not (forget what they are called) But I'm not really "feeling" the banner, needs more to it I think, idk I'll whip something up just for the hell of it and see if you like it.

I like the new icons I think the portal page should be brought back? Not to fussed on the banner, doesn't match the the 'Galaxy' part of GGUI if you get me Forum does seem to be loading faster for me though

Sorry but: Ew
New buttons suck, and the header looks like crap.
What happened to the cool striped dock header?

Defiantly getting there... think the banner shouldn't have the mac osx wallpaper though, something different to make us "stand out" from the rest of the design sites. Also, 200px avatars would suite this look i think. Possible to introduce that?

Perhaps a banner contest is in order?

Guys, the new buttons and banner are Temporary untill I make something better.
I would personally say no to 200px avatars. It is a very big size for a forum avatar. I think 128 px is fine as that is a proper icon size. Most forums have a 100px avatar limit as they will make the forum wider.
