Are There Disadvantages to Using Phone Cards?
My daughter just bought a cellphone that uses phone cards. Are there any disadvantages to using this type of service? She does not travel much, so roaming will not normally be an issue, but she does call people from other cities. Since her usage is never the same from month to month, it appears buying a phone that uses phone cards makes sense for her. It will also keep her from spending more than she can afford. One month her cell phone bill was almost $500, and the end result was getting her service terminated. Obviously that can not happen with this type of service. So, are there other advantages to using phone cards?
