My mom and dad have asked for a calling card for Christmas this year. My dad just got their latest phone bill and they are charging him $15 a month just to have the ability to call long distance. He may use it once a month. When he called to ask about this fee, they offered him unlimited long distance calling for $40. That was the final straw and he cancelled the ability to call long distance at that time. I cannot blame him as I hate to pay the high fees charged by the companies almost as much as I hate the taxes added on by the government.
