I think the iPod touch is too thin without a case so i got a hard shell one which seems to take all the knocks n scratches... _________________

| Only damage I have ever done to my iPod's is when one slipped out of my pocket, other than that, perfect. |

My one is arriving this weekend
I'd like to know what firmware it is likely to be? Its coming from Amazon UK and it says "New iPod Touch 8GB" and next to it its got the release date (i think) of Feb 2008 |

Amazon always have 'new' in the title for ipods so it just means it's in good nick...
My guess is that it would be 1.1.4 which is pre-appstore so apple can charge a further £5 upgrade for 2.0. 1.1.4 isn't so bad if you just bought it to be an iPod but if you're thinking of jailbreaking or just wanting the new apps your gonna want 2.0 however you obtain it _________________

@purry: i suggest buying a plastic+silicon casing (its silicon then its got this plastic back to it, its fairly inexpensive and very nice ) |

No I know you can what I meant was 2.0 is better because there are more people working on it. _________________

mmm, also debatable xD right now pretty much everything on 2.0 is avaiable on 1.1.4 BUT theres the apple app store and the ability to used cracked appstore apps so its better your legality stance |
