I got a few PM's on dA asking how to reflect icons with AveDesk so now I am just going to post this guide.

What You need:

AveDesk
GIMP or Photoshop
A Dock
Access to the icons in your dock

First, look at your dock and look at the first icon in it. Its most likely thats its going to be Finder or another icon substituted for finder. So, first, your going to open up Photoshop or GIMP, then open your icon with it. (Personally I use GIMP so that is what I will be showing in the pictures, but it works either way.)

When you have the icon in GIMP/ Photoshop
Tools>Transform tools>Flip and click the icon once. The Icon should have flipped over like if you were on your belly and you moved onto your back. wink

Before Flip:

After Flip:

Once you have the icon flipped, save it as (original icon name here)flip.png

This is important because when you want to find the right icon to flip in avedesk you need to find the flipped version!

Now, Open up Avedesk and double click the icon in your system tray.

Avedesk in your system tray:

Now go to Desklets>Add>Pidlshortcut>Add item

Adding the item:

Now, open up your dock settings for whatever dock you have, find out what size the icons are in your dock, in my case, they 60x60.

now go back to the Desklets Control Panel in avedesk and right click on the Pidlshortcut that you created. then go to Properties, you should be presented with this menu.

Menu:

RED= Make sure the Width and Height match the size of the icons in your dock.

GREEN= This is the transparency of your icon, adjust this however you want.

YELLOW= Make sure this is at 180 on the Right side.

Now, just choose the flipped icon you created in Photoshop earlier for the icon.

Then place the icon under the icon in your dock and you have a reflection!

Just repeat for every icon in your dock and you got it! wink

Thanks for reading.

Because pre-reflected icons dont look very good compared to these.
