I don't think there's a clear "best", each OS has its benefits

Depends. if you're not willing to spend money on an OS, then it'll have to be Linux. I can't say I've heard of many businesses using Linux though, most stick with XP unless it's graphic design where the industry standard tends to be OSX

All of the african Governments run on Linux, Argentina runs on linux, Brazil runs on linux, IBM runs on linux, the United States Army Runs on linux. you decide wink but if you DO want to use linux for buisness, Impi is the best imo. Its heavily based on Ubuntu but is optomized for the buisness CEO and his/her employees. I know it says "ubuntu for africa" but the default language pack is english, no worries wink. and it works in america too :O

alxmarcond, government is not a business.

Businesses use either Windows or top notch businesses (for rich people) run apple servers lol. The army started buying some macs as well, it was on the news a while ago

but yeah, 90% of businesses run windows

I myself have never seen linux running in any business, even airports and new york time square ads use windows happy

look simple answer. People like linux, people like windows, people love (sorry lol) mac. Everyone has their own taste.

I happen to like macs (even though i run vista on both computers).

Windows is the majoity, then comes mac and finally linux. Everyone one of them has their upside and downside
