Unless you're a proper gadget addict, or you really need a the portability, the MacBook Air isn't worth it, MacBook would be the way to go for general use.

Why do you need it? 97% of people who want a mac don't even know why they want it or need it. Then you can make your choice.

I guess it depends on how much money you'd like to spend as well
I'd really like a new laptop here where I live, but they are all so expensive that the only one I can afford is macbook.
Too give you a idea of price here, the macbook retails for $1800 and macbook pro $2300

Have someone buy it in the US for you happy, you could easily save $800. In fact, there is a student discount... MacBook costs $999 and you get a free iPod Touch for a limited time

If your just going to sit in your room and use it, buy an iMac. Macbooks are made to be used on the go tongue

no that black is only the 1500 price top 1. get white tho. black shows ur finger prints and i've seen them overheat faster b/c they are dark.
also sitting in ur room a macbook wud b better b/c eventually u may want to go in another room or take it 2 ur friends house or on vacation. the imac is way more powerful and pricy, which he doesnt need
