Hi,

I usually use photoshop Cs3 - but can anyone else recommend me some software (font mind shareware or freeware) thats good for making icons?

Most people use CS3 but some have worked with Axialis IconWorkshop.

I find that Axialis doesn't offer much when it comes to making icons from scratch, I only use it for translating.

I use PS7, starting off with base shapes using Pen Tool, then applying Blending Options, and other effects. Illustrator is the next best thing for creating icons, though I'll always stay with Photoshop.
