According to section 2.3 of the Google Terms of Service (http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS), it is illegal to use any Google (GOOG) if you are unable to form a "binding contract with Google." This means that minors are not allowed to use any google service. This include Google Web Search, G-Mail, G-Talk, Google Docs, Orkut, YouTube (yes, YouTube,) Google Video, etc. At the moment Google has no way of telling if their users are of legal age but they say that they have plans too implement this in the future. This would hinder the usage of Google for many many people. I personally think that this is stupid. The Child Internet Protection Act states that one must only be 13 to use any site you register for any given service but Google has bumped this up to 18. As internet security starts to get better, Google's restrictions will also start to get better, or, rather worse. What are your thoughts on this? Is this just stupid? Not many people read the Terms of Service and simply don't know that they're breaking the law. A link for the Google Terms of Service isn't even on the home page! Once this gets out, I can't image that many users will be very happy. Whats your input?

UPDATE: I have just confirmed that Yahoo is also illegal for the same reason and almost exact same wording
| Original Yahoo Terms of Service wrote: | ...3, YOUR REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS
In consideration of your use of the Service, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction,,,, |

I didn't even know this, but I'm pretty sure most people don't even care. If this was really serious then we'd see many teachers and parents in jail xD lol _________________ Founder of Galaxy GUI |
