i got the game and works great, but me and my friend have 1 huge problem....we cant get the guitar to work with it. seriously WTH? any ideas?

I dont have a mac but have dealt with GH3, what exactly is stopping it from working?

we have no clue. we plug it in and it jus wont work, but it works fine w/ Frets on Fire. also the game setup is dif then the console 1's so cant compare w/ them
