that's right, fedora may BE better but leopard looks, works much better and has more applications (dont start me on WINE, windows apps are not designed to run NATIVELY on linux)

^^ Wasnt going to say anything about wine. But even if, Fedora will be a large competitor and could pull ahead of windows, leading the way with mac.

have you taken a look at the Fedora or Ubuntu repos as of late?

26234 packages in the ubuntu feisty reposetory and this doesnt count the tens of thousands of packages NOT in the reposetories, go to fresh meat, the count there is outragiously high. have fun saying there are more applications for windows wink

and PLEASE you guys! Lbroskee did great FEATURES not a complete OS. WHAT do u like about OS X, WHAT do u like about Windows, WHAT do u like about Linux, WHAT do u like about BSD?

... Packages, you know how many of those are drivers?
if linux has so many good applications, why the need for wine? wink

^^^ It does have good apps, and its free! I dont use wine. Wine is gay, doesnt even work, just makes your computer crash and then it opens up terminal and tells you its deleting everything on your hard drive smile

^^ Not really.

But still, ubuntu and fedora are great because they have features that are free and are just as productive as apps for OS X and PC's.

i do not even have wine installed thank you very much. and actually, only about 100 packages are related to drivers. drivers arnt placed in the repository wink a lot of those a lib but only like 1000 or something which is not a lot out of the MANY packages that arent libs
