Well after trying to install osx86 on my compaq 6710b, I couldn't boot into my vista anymore. So, I booted up into a linux disc and deleted all partitions to make free space. I then decided to install XP Professional... BUT, it gets about 3/4 of the way loading setup files then... BSOD... pci.sys something error, help? I can't install any OS on my laptop, its like dead sad.

haha, dude, OSX so screwed ur lappy up ^_^ just install linux then shrink the drive down to minimum and then go into XP setup, install it on the larger drive that came as a result of the shrink of the linux partition and then after installing XP boot into a linux Live CD and unmount the windows partition and the linux one and then format the linux partition to a blank unformated drive then right click the windows partition and make it take the whole hard drive. Or go for double or nothing and keep the linux wink
